Automated Cloud Migration Pipeline
On-premises virtual machines lifted into Azure
Overview
Migrated on-premises virtual machines into Azure using Azure Migrate for discovery and assessment and Azure Site Recovery for continuous replication. Waves were planned so replication ran hot in the background and each cutover window stayed short. Every migrated workload was validated for performance, security posture, and availability before the source was decommissioned.
Engineering focus
Sequencing the waves. Dependencies between application and database servers decide the cutover order — get it wrong and a short downtime window becomes a long one.
